NEW Italian for Beginners (for Summer Term)

This course is designed for learners who have no, or very little experience in Italian. Students will learn how to use basic vocabulary and grammatical structures for short conversations in everyday situations., and to practice writing simple sentences. Students will learn how to place orders in bars and restaurants, book hotels rooms, shop for food/clothing/souveniers , count up to 6 digit numbers, be able to spell using the Italian alphabet, tell and understand the time, ask for directions.

The course is run by Cristina Nugent. Cristina is  an Italian native speaker and a qualified MFL tutor and teaches Italian to a broad spectrum of abilities and at a variety of levels including GCSE, A Levels and adult evening classes.

NEW Italian for Intermediaries (for Summer Term)

This course is designed for learners who have no experience of Italian or those who know very little and want to learn a little before a holiday or visit to Italy. Students will learn how to use basic vocabulary and grammatical structures for short conversations in everyday situations., and to practice writing simple sentences. Students will learn how to place orders in bars and restaurants, book hotels rooms, shop for food/clothing/souveniers , count up to 6 digit numbers, be able to spell using the Italian alphabet, tell and understand the time, ask for directions, use verbs in the present, past and future tenses.

The course is run by Cristina Nugent. Cristina is  an Italian native speaker and a qualified MFL tutor and teaches Italian to a broad spectrum of abilities and at a variety of levels including GCSE, A Levels and adult evening classes.

French

This is an informal class run at Cottenham Village College for students wishing to improve their ability to speak and understand the language. A lively and fun conversation class to develop and improve your French.  Learners should have a good knowledge of French with at least two years’ experience, or a very good knowledge of French from some years ago.

The course is run by Jean Louis, a French native speaker, born in Paris who has been teaching French to adults and adolescents for twenty years in various colleges across Cambridge, including
Cottenham, Burwell, Bottisham, Sawston and at the Alliance Française.
