Let’s Draw a Flamingo
Course information:
This course will provide a step by step guide about how to use a variety of drawing techniques and materials based upon a ‘’natural forms” theme. This course is suitable for beginners as well as those with more experience. You will start with a series of drawing technique exercises and then progress to a more detailed drawing of flamingos’ after the break.
Aims and Objectives:
- How to create texture using drawing techniques
- How to measure accurately
- How to use watercolours (either using pencil crayons or watercolour paints)
What you will need to bring
- A range of pencils: HB, 2B, 2H minimum
- An A4 sketchbook or loose sheets of cartridge paper – white or cream
- A fine line pen (optional)
- An eraser
- A paper stump if you have one
- A pencil sharpener
- A watercolour set or a set of watercolour pencils
- A fine brush (No.2 if you have it)
- A water pot

She has exhibited her work in New York and exhibited around the UK via Gallery and non-Gallery venues in Hertfordshire, Leicester, London, and Northampton. Alongside this, she has been teaching Art History in Cambridge since 2012.
